Bio

Robert McDermott is a leading physicist specializing in superconducting qubits and their application in quantum computing. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from UC-Berkeley, where he developed novel superconducting detectors for magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging. He is currently a professor of physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he works to develop new tools for scalable quantum information processing. McDermott’s contributions to quantum measurement, quantum control, and quantum device fabrication have led to significant improvements in qubit performance.
