Reducing Qubit Energy Decay and Correlated Errors From Cosmic Rays in Quantum Processors

Saving superconducting quantum processors from qubit energy decay and correlated errors generated from gamma and cosmic Rays; Cosmic rays and natural radioactivity produce quasiparticle heat pulses that effectively kill quantum error correction.  Structures are described that channel this energy away from qubits.  This affects other solid-state qubits.
